Job Overview

Security Officers are one of the most vital roles in the airport, ensuring that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey. In this exciting role you will get involved in Conducting hand searches of customers and cabin luggage as required in Security Operating high‑tech security equipment such as X‑Ray machines and body scanners Patrolling our terminal and manning posts Checking of staff ID cards and customer boarding cards before entering the security area Delivering great service to our customers.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • No security experience required; full training provided.
  • Experience in a customer focused environment desirable.
  • Enthusiasm, proactive attitude and ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
  • Perfect colour vision required.
  • Long periods of standing, bending, walking and manual handling.
  • Must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
Pre‑Employment Checks & Training

The role will require a conditional offer subject to Pre‑Employment checks and passing your initial four‑week training course (40 hours – Monday to Friday) which is fully paid. Checks include: Criminal Record Check, 5 years employment history and Counter Terrorism Check. A face‑to‑face medical appointment is also required.

Salary & Contract
  • £15.35 per hour (£13.85 p.h. during initial 3‑month probation period).
  • Different contract types available.
  • From 20 hours per week; contracts will require flexibility and will cover a range of hours and weekends.
  • Contract: 3000 GBP per Year, part time.
