Overview
As an Aircraft Handler, you'll play a hands-on role supporting our flight line operations, ensuring aircraft are moved, prepared and serviced safely and efficiently. You'll help ensure operational readiness each day by carrying out refuelling, marshalling, flight line tasks, equipment checks and general ground duties. This role offers the chance to work closely with aircraft, contribute directly to aviation safety, and build a rewarding career in the aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe ground movement of aircraft and support all flight line operations
- Carry out see-in and see-off procedures and prepare aircraft for upcoming flying days
- Conduct fuel and oil replenishments once authorised
- Perform daily maintenance checks on company aircraft and minor scheduled maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Communicate with the customer and Site Manager to avoid contract failures, maintaining best practice and Health and Safety standards
- Support full-time operations based at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset; shift patterns may vary, including weekends
- Similar background in aircraft or aviation operations
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of the importance of Health and Safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience handling aircraft within military or EASA Pt 145 environments
- A full, clean driving licence, with no more than six penalty points
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role
