Job summary

A leading ICT Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver next-generation AI capabilities. The role involves working hands-on to build scalable AI services on AWS, developing reusable components and collaborating with product teams. Candidates should have strong experience in AWS AI stack, Python development, and MLOps. This is a remote position, with an initial contract running until May 2026, exclusively for applicants based in the UK.

AI/ML Engineer - Outside IR35

An AI/ML Engineer is required to design and deliver next-generation GenAI and agentic capabilities. This covers traditional ML engineering to include Single Entry Point & Intelligent Search, AI Chat & Service Builder Assistant, and LLM experimentation.

The engineer will work hands on to build scalable AI services on AWS, integrating LLMs, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), chatbot frameworks, intelligent search pipelines, and agent based automation. This includes developing reusable components, orchestrating multi‑step AI workflows, and collaborating with architects and product teams to operationalize GenAI solutions.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Hands‑on experience developing GenAI, LLM, RAG, and agentic solutions, ideally using AWS services.
• Strong proficiency in AWS AI stack: SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, Glue, API Gateway.
• Strong Python development skills, including experience with LangChain/LlamaIndex or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Experience building intelligent search pipelines, vector stores, and embedding‑based retrieval.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, guardrails, and safety principles.
• Experience with MLOps, automation, experimentation frameworks, and cloud‑native delivery practices.

The contract is outside IR35 and home‑based. Candidates will need to be based in the UK. The initial contract will run to May 2026.
