Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Agricultural Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. We encourage applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be considered. The role involves maintenance, servicing, and repair of modern agricultural equipment, providing high-quality technical support and on-site service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair agricultural machinery, including tractors and combines, per manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform a mix of workshop tasks and on-site service work, traveling to customer locations for diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Install and demonstrate machinery to end users when required.
  • Collaborate with workshop and service management to meet deadlines.
  • Travel locally to service and repair equipment (full driving license required).
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and performance standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Land-Based Engineering or equivalent (e.g., HGV, Plant, or Construction sectors).
  • Experience with agricultural machinery is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and under pressure.
  • Open to ongoing professional development and manufacturer training.
