About the job: Agile Business Analyst

Location: Bath with flexible hybrid or remote working, occasional days in the office on an ad hoc basis

About the Role

We seek an Agile Business Analyst to shape the future of our financial services platform. You will work closely with software developers, stakeholders, and third-party providers to define requirements, optimize user experiences, and ensure high-value delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and refine backlog items.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and example mapping sessions.
  • Identify and define non-functional requirements such as security, usability, and performance.
  • Work with development teams (.Net stack) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
  • Support UAT and implementation activities for seamless product releases.
  • Track and analyze key product metrics to assess performance and drive improvements.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating complex needs into actionable solutions.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Agile Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience in agile teams.
  • Experience with complex software projects under tight deadlines, preferably with Microsoft .Net environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools for backlog and requirements management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach with problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or wealth/financial advisory platforms.
  • Experience working with third-party software providers and integration projects.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like Pendo, Heap, or similar.
  • Understanding of straight-through processing solutions.
