Job Title: After School Club Assistant

Location: Walthamstow, London

Contract: Term time only

Hours: 3:15pm-6:00pm, Monday to Thursday and/or Friday

About the Role

We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of a welcoming 3‑form entry mainstream primary school in Walthamstow, who are seeking reliable and enthusiastic After School Club Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with primary‑aged children and can help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment at the end of the school day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support pupils during after school club sessions
  • Assist with setting up and leading play‑based, creative, and structured activities
  • Ensure children's safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
  • Support snack time and tidy‑up routines
  • Work collaboratively with other club staff and the school team
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working with children in a primary school or childcare setting is desirable
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Ability to engage children in fun and age‑appropriate activities
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
  • Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications are desirable but not essential
