Overview

Location: Hillingdon, Ruislip, Greater London, England HA4. Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Kinship Team to work full time in Hillingdon.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Social Work Practitioner role is up to £54,129 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership to social work colleagues through exemplary practice, knowledge sharing, and managing the interface between practice and education/training.
• Act as organisational expert in the Kinship role, providing advice and support to social work colleagues and partners.
• Disseminate specialised Kinship knowledge and advice to other teams as required.
• Coordinate and oversee regular group supervision and reflective time for team members; provide coaching and mentoring as required. Arrange learning opportunities for the team for ongoing professional development.
• Develop the Kinship support offer to families and lead this with the team, including facilitating Skills to foster training for Kinship carers.
• Directly support learners in the team (e.g., apprentices and social work students); may include a Practice Educator role as required. This will involve office-based activities to ensure the best learning opportunities and outcomes.
• Manage social work caseloads of the most complex cases.
• Model and take responsibility for workforce planning and workload allocation to sustain Standards for Employers of Social Workers.
• Provide professional consultation to all teams within the directorate and other agencies to ensure effective practice and procedures.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with required Standards including the Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework.

Requirements
