Job Purpose: The Advanced Skin and Laser Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, bespoke treatments within a regulated healthcare environment while providing an exceptional five-star client experience.

This role requires strict adherence to Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, clinic protocols, and governance frameworks, combined with a proactive approach, adaptability, and strong attention to detail.

Occasional front-of-house support may be required.

For those interested in education, there is an optional opportunity to contribute to training through DD Clinical Academy.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Treatment Responsibilities Deliver advanced skin and laser treatments to the highest professional, ethical, and safety standards.

Carry out comprehensive consultations, medical histories, and suitability assessments in line with CQC requirements.

Create and implement personalised treatment plans aligned with clinical governance standards.

Provide clear pre- and post-treatment advice and obtain informed consent where required.

Maintain a strong understanding of contraindications, anatomy, and physiology relevant to treatments.

Perform treatments strictly in accordance with trained protocols, including correct products, methods, and timings.

Ensure treatment rooms meet CQC, infection control, and health and safety standards at all times.

Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and compliant patient records.

Treatments Required

The successful candidate will be expected to confidently deliver all of the following treatments to a high standard: Laser Hair Removal Laser Skin Resurfacing IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Treatments Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Microneedling Hydrodermabrasion Skin Rejuvenation Treatments Pigmentation and Vascular Lesion Treatments

Client Experience & Customer Service

Consistently deliver a premium, five-star clinical experience.

Build trust and long-term relationships with patients through professional, ethical care.

Encourage rebooking and continuity of care in line with best clinical practice.

Recommend appropriate home-care and maintenance treatments where suitable.

Represent the DD Clinical brand with professionalism and integrity.

Financial Performance & Targets

Work towards individual targets and KPIs set by clinic management.

Contribute to achieving departmental and clinic-wide financial objectives.

Ethically upsell additional services and treatment packages where clinically appropriate.

Accurately record treatments and retail sales for commission, audit, and reporting purposes.

Optional Teaching Opportunity

For those interested, support delivery of practical and theoretical training through DD Clinical Academy.

Mentor and supervise students in a clinical training environment.

Contribute to the development of treatment protocols and training materials.

Uphold CQC and clinical governance standards within training settings.

Operational, Health & Safety & CQC Compliance

Adhere to all CQC regulations, clinic policies, SOPs, and clinical governance frameworks.

Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, infection control, and safe working practices.

Comply with COSHH regulations and maintain accurate COSHH documentation.

Manage stock responsibly in line with regulatory and audit requirements.

Participate in audits, inspections, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide front-of-house support when required, including greeting clients, managing bookings, and handling inquiries professionally.

Digital & Administrative Responsibilities

Use clinic software (e.g., booking systems, CRM) to manage client follow-ups, treatment plans, and documentation.

Communicate professionally via email and digital platforms.

Complete online training modules and maintain digital compliance records.

Requirements

Recognised qualification in laser therapy and/or advanced clinical treatments.

Experience working within a CQC-regulated or clinically governed environment (desirable, not essential). Strong understanding of clinical compliance, patient safety, and record-keeping.

Professional, polished manner aligned with a premium healthcare setting.

Ability to work towards financial targets while maintaining ethical clinical care.

Confidence using clinic management software and digital tools.

Ability to manage reception tasks professionally and confidently when needed.

Interest in teaching or clinical education (optional, not essential). Strong basic tech skills: Ability to confidently use email, clinic management software, CRM systems, and digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and client communication.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Teams, and online learning platforms.

Ability to troubleshoot minor tech issues and follow digital workflows independently.
