About the Role

We’re looking for an Advanced Research Engineer to join our Laser Processing team. You’ll focus on subtractive laser machining technologies such as cutting, drilling, and precision material removal. This is an exciting opportunity for early‑to‑mid‑career engineers who want to work hands‑on with state‑of‑the‑art laser systems and contribute to groundbreaking projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver technical work packages independently, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct hands‑on experimental work in laser machining, including setup, testing, and analysis.
  • Optimise laser–material interaction processes for cutting and drilling applications.
  • Collaborate with industrial and academic partners on innovative projects.
  • Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and customer meetings.
  • Progress toward Senior Research Engineer level with structured development pathways.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree or PhD in engineering, physics, materials science, or related discipline.
