Advanced Electro-Optical Engineer

We are seeking an Advanced Electro-Optical Engineer in our Broomfield, CO location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a team of physicists, optical, and opto-mechanical engineers supporting the development of commercial and research systems for quantum computing
  • Responsible for detection and imaging systems and their interfaces
  • Provide software support in building, testing, and alignment of optical systems.
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Master’s Degree minimum
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience (advanced degree inclusive) with imaging systems, cameras, detectors and imaging software
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
  • Ph.D. or Master's in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with SPAD and/or PMT detector systems
  • Experience with cryogenic detector systems
  • Experience with scientific coding and data analysis, and familiarity with software tools like MATLAB, Python, etc.
  • Experience with image processing and analysis routines and interfacing to camera and detector systems
  • Experience with controlling motion control systems used for alignment of optical components using vision assist or active feedback
  • Experience with revision and release control
  • Experience with user interfaces and the automation of assembly and test processes
  • Broad understanding of optical principles and practices, and intimate knowledge and experience applying this knowledge to projects
Compensation & Benefits:

$124,000 - $165,000 a year. Non-Incentive Eligible. The pay range for this role is $124,000 – $165,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
