We are looking for motivated and forward‑thinking clinical pharmacists to work with our team and extend our service in Acute and Emergency Medicine at the Royal Liverpool hospital. We have fully integrated electronic systems to help you deliver excellent clinical care to your patients.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of a high quality, proactive and patient focused clinical pharmacy service to the Acute and Emergency Medicine areas (Emergency Department and the Acute Medical Unit).
• Assist the Lead Pharmacist for Acute and Emergency Medicine in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the area.
• To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the Acute and Emergency Medicine areas.
• Assist the Lead Pharmacist for Acute and Emergency Medicine in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the area, for other departmental staff.
• Provide non‑medical prescribing services.
• Provide highly specialist pharmaceutical information to medical and nursing staff and patients within the Care Group and to General Practitioners and other staff within the Trust where appropriate.
• Act as an independent prescriber in accordance with the Trust's Non‑Medical Prescribers policies and guidelines (once registered as a non‑medical prescriber).
• Participate in the therapeutic drug monitoring service provided in accordance with departmental procedure; in particular gentamicin prescribing and monitoring.
