A local government authority in Pulborough seeks compassionate individuals for social care support roles. Candidates are to assist practitioners in evaluating needs and managing caseloads for individuals. Valid driving and a willingness to travel are essential, along with empathy and compassion. This full-time position offers a starting salary of £30,647 with generous leave and local government pension benefits.
The Reigate and Banstead Locality Team supports adults (18+) with eligible care needs across East Surrey, in both community and hospital settings. We provide timely advice, guidance, and access to local resources, while promoting independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding those at risk. We are looking for a range of compassionate and empathetic individuals with a variety of skills and experiences to work with the people we support, enabling them to enjoy a home of their own and an environment in which they are supported to live a healthy and meaningful lifestyle. Working in partnership with individuals, their carers, professional staff in other agencies and service providers, your role will be to assist qualified practitioners with a variety of tasks, including assessing people\'s needs and carrying out regular reviews. You will often be the first point of contact between the public and the service, gathering initial information and identifying the need for further assessment, as well as signposting people to other services. You will hold a caseload of individuals and carers who will generally have a support plan in place that requires routine monitoring.
