Responsibilities

  • Build friendships with residents to help them adjust to care home life.
  • Deliver personal and psychological care professionally to all residents.
  • Maintain communication with colleagues and relatives for smooth operations.
  • Complete required records to satisfactory standards agreed with the manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding clients, staff, and business.
  • Plan daytime and evening activities.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Coordinate activities program and create a monthly planner.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities based on their interests.
  • Provide necessary backup for all staff within team dynamics.

What does the role involve?
  • To build friendships with our residents that help them adjust to life in a care home.
  • Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner.
  • Maintain good communication levels with Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives to ensure smooth operation of role and high levels of co-operation.
  • Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Agree the type and quantity of record keeping with the manager on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times
  • Plan daytime and evening time activities.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
  • Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility and creating a monthly planner.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes being aware of the residents' hobbies and interests and assisting them to pursue these by creating resident profiles.
  • Work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all staff, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Home and in consideration of its residents.
