About the Job

Reporting to the Company Accountant the Accounts Technician will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
• Data analysis, reconciliations and other general accounting tasks
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage etc)
• Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a range of clients
• Assisting with tax return preparation and other compliance tasks
• Communicating directly with clients and addressing queries in a professional manner

Previous experience

• Previous experience working in a busy office environment (Practice Experience Desirable)
• Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or currently studying your ATI (Desirable) OR Part Qualified ACCA/ ACA or CIMA
