Overview

A growing firm of chartered accountants based in Totnes is searching for an Accounts Senior to join their team in a role with increasing responsibility and opportunity to develop, progressing in your career as a key addition into this successful and forward moving firm.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a hands-on role with increasing responsibility over time, helping to manage juniors and reviewing and checking work, as well as delivering year end accounts/tax, VAT and wider services.
• Develop client relationships and undertake preparation and review of accounts production for wide-ranging sole traders, partnerships and, with a significant focus on limited companies.
• Provide general taxation work across personal and corporate tax, VAT returns, and bookkeeping advice to clients.

Profile / Qualifications and Experience

• Firm is open to individuals across a range of levels; you may be part ACA/ACCA, or studying as an Accounts Senior within the accountancy practice sector. Alternatively you may have progressed in accountancy practice through experience, or be AAT qualified.
• Typically 2 to 4+ years of experience within this sector, with a background in preparing accounts, tax, and providing wider services for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• You will be looking to progress within your career and seek an opportunity within a highly successful firm of chartered accountants offering a development path.
