Overview

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk you will be responsible for supporting the Group's Accounts Receivable function. This role plays an important part in ensuring that finances are managed effectively, customers are billed correctly, customer accounts are reconciled and funds are received on time. This will provide a good understanding of our business model and will provide for the right candidate the ability to grow into the business.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of the fee sheet reconciliation process, which includes managing new starters and leavers including fee calculations, raising and distributing invoices/credit notes and then updating the ledgers accordingly.
  • Overseeing the creation of contracts, billing schedules and revenue recognition in our financial system for all new starters. Working alongside our Commercial department to ensure these are created based on signed contractual agreements with Local Authorities.
  • Lead and manage the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient operations and collection of receipts.
  • Monitor aging reports, and actively work with our Commercial department to ensure that overdue accounts are minimised.
  • Develop and implement collection strategies and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receivables and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly AR reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Support the annual audit process providing necessary documentation.
  • Assist the Commercial department in setting up new local authorities as well as maintaining and developing detailed records in relation to payment terms and contacts for both existing and new authorities.
  • Providing support in other wider Finance tasks as required.
