Accounts Manager – Liverpool

Clark Wood are currently working with a leading, fast‑growing and highly reputable accountancy group who are seeking an experienced and driven Accounts Manager to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your own vibrant and varied client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact for business owners and directors.
• Work closely with the leadership team to deliver high‑quality accounts, business advice and client service, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately and in line with the firm’s strong service standards.
• Cultivate long‑term client relationships, identify opportunities to add value, and contribute to client retention and business development activities.
• Lead the accounts team, coaching, developing and supporting junior staff, overseeing workflow planning, and collaborating with directors and other departments to ensure seamless delivery across your portfolio.
• Drive a positive, energetic and progressive team culture, champion best practice, support innovation and contribute to wider firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or QBE qualified with proven experience within an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience working with OMB clients and strong technical capability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Highly organised, tech‑savvy (knowledge of CCH advantageous).
• Ability to inspire and energise others while managing a varied workload.
