Qualifications

  • Proven experience using Sage for bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous experience in an accounts/admin role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records using Sage accounting software.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end processes.
  • Manage stock levels and raise purchase orders as needed.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices and statements.
  • Handle parcel dispatches and liaise with couriers.
  • Manage general office duties like emailing and filing.
  • Support management with financial reports.

Job Title: Accounts & Office Administrator

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Hours: 10:00am 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)

Location: Kettering

About The Role

On behalf of our Kettering based client, Pertemps are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Office Administrator to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative tasks. This is a standalone position, giving you full ownership of the accounts process and the opportunity to make a real impact in the smooth running of the business. Its ideal for someone with solid Sage experience who enjoys working with numbers while also keeping office operations organised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records using Sage accounting software.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end processes.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, raising purchase orders when needed.
  • Prepare and send out customer invoices and statements.
  • Handle parcel dispatches and liaise with couriers.
  • Manage general office duties such as responding to emails, filing, and maintaining records in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Support management with financial reports and ad-hoc accounts tasks.
