Qualifications

  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconciling bank statements and company accounts.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Assisting with payroll preparation and expenses where needed.
  • Communicating with suppliers and clients.
  • Preparing reports and summaries for management.

RG Consultancy are working with a well-established care company based in Oldham who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. You will work alongside another accounts assistant and report into the Finance Manager. The role will suit someone looking for an all-around accounts role and possibly a studier who is looking to expand their experience.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting and financial transactions
  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end preparation
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Assisting with payroll preparation and expenses where needed
  • Communicating with suppliers and clients and chasing any outstanding payments
  • Preparing reports and summaries for management
  • Supporting the wider finance team and finance manager with ad hoc tasks as required
Person Specification
  • At least 3 years working within an accounts/finance role is essential
  • AAT qualification or studying towards would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong IT skills including MS Excel and SAGE would be an advantage
  • Experience working within the care or healthcare sector would be an advantage but not essential
