Accounts Assistant - £30,000 - £35,000 per year - Central London - Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a growing fintech firm in the West End to recruit an Accounts Assistant. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be a key member of the finance team, supporting purchase and sales ledger processes, bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes and staff expenses
  • Prepare weekly payment runs
  • Raise customer invoices and manage debtor balances
  • Complete bank reconciliations and post bank transactions
  • Support month-end close including reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals and journals
  • Assist with loan account reconciliations, monthly loan and cashflow analysis
  • Support VAT return preparation and compliance documentation
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems
  • Provide general finance administration support and assist with ad hoc tasks
Requirements
  • 2-3 years\' experience in a similar finance or accounts role
  • Good knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Studying towards or holding an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT)
  • Strong Excel skills with experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision
  • Knowledge of UK VAT and accounting principles
  • Full working rights in the UK
