Qualifications

Job description

Greenhous is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our busy Accounts team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused finance professional to play a key role within a fast-paced and growing fleet operation.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciling statements, handling account queries, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the purchase ledger. You'll work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure financial accuracy and timely payments.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chasing vehicle debtors.
  • Using email, telephone and sending copies of documentation.
  • Using Kerridge to extract and import information needed in the nominal ledger, sales ledger, purchase ledger and vehicle stock books.
  • Using the fleet database for exporting information.
  • Extract information and convert documents into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Posting cash payment as required during normal day-to-day duties.
  • Profitability reporting for the corporate debtors, adding bonuses and costs.
  • Holiday cover for purchase ledger.
Ideally, we are looking for:
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
  • Confidence to handle queries face to face, over the telephone and via email.
  • Capable of prioritising workload.
  • Motor trade, automotive or car dealership experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Keyloop system would be advantageous.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
