A leading automotive dealership in the UK is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Tonbridge. The role involves handling financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with management to resolve queries. Our Tonbridge Mercedes site is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will report into the Dealership Accountant and work as part of a wider team. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and establish a long‑successful career within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities include setting procedures on daily, weekly and monthly cycles, working closely with the Accounts and Admin team and line managers. You will carry out weekly and monthly reconciliations to produce relevant management reports in line with group and brand standards.
37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday 08:30am to 5:00pm.
Up to £26,250 DOE.
Ideally you will have had some exposure to a finance‑oriented role previously, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to reconcile data efficiently. You will have an eye for detail and will maintain accurate records across all aspects of the role.
Being organised will be second nature to you, and you will thrive under pressure, prioritising workload and showing initiative to improve procedures where appropriate while handling multiple demands.
Communication is key; you will showcase this in varying methods while protecting confidential material and demonstrating discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
