The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of finance department experience and strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and Sage. This is a full-time office-based role with a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, offering 25 holidays plus statutory days.

Sales Ledger Clerk

Location: Glengormley, Antrim Road
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00
Holidays: 25 days + 9 statutory days

Role Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sales Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team of a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Glengormley. This role is fully office-based and ideal for an energetic, well-organised candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work predominantly on the Sales Ledger
  • Collate timesheets and create weekly, fortnightly, and monthly client invoices
  • Send invoices and statements to clients and manage client queries
  • Credit control via calls and emails, managing credit limits and insurances
  • Reconcile client accounts
  • Work with the Purchase Ledger Clerk to create recharge invoices for plant, materials, and logistics
  • Provide information to the Accounts Manager and Finance Director for monthly reporting
  • Monitor key accounts email inbox
  • Assist with Management Accounts production
  • Support Purchase and Payroll teams as required
  • Perform ad hoc accounts and administrative tasks
Experience & Skills Required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance department
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel; Sage experience (Sage 50 desirable)
  • Working towards IATI is preferable (training and upskilling available)
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment
About the Role

Our client is a leading provider of engineering and construction solutions, delivering services to a wide range of industries including petrochemical, pharmaceutical, offshore oil & gas, energy & power generation, ICT, and data centres.
