Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 3 - SCP Range 9- 12 - £27,254- £28,598 per annum

Location: Castle Point, Council Offices, Benfleet

We are looking for 1 x full-time Accounting Technician to work within the Finance & Procurement Service who can:
Key Skills and Abilities
  • Provide accurate financial advice and analysis to budget holders.
  • Support financial forecasting, budget setting, and monitoring.
  • Use financial systems and advanced Excel confidently.
  • Interpret financial data and develop models for decision‑making.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and work independently.
Experience

Previous practical experience in financial reporting, budget preparation, and supporting year‑end accounts is essential. Experience in business case development and capital programme support is desirable.

Qualifications

Applicants must be AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards.
