We are searching for an experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Associate Director

RSM’s Finance Function Support team is a leading market focused business, providing corporate accounting services to national and multinational corporations, with a focus on helping them to remain compliant and providing insights to their operations.

We are looking for an Outsourcing Associate Director to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Real Estate (RE) outsourced accounting team. We work with REIFs and private equity investors through various SPV structures to provide an outsourced finance function as an extension of their team. We will complete the month end process, prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, undertake bank reconciliations, manage the AP function and in some cases set up regular payment runs for the client’s approval and release. Through our involvement in the daily transactions of our clients, our team will gain a depth of understanding of the client's systems and operations, enabling us to understand trends, provide a comprehensive actual vs budget analysis along with knowledge of the markets, giving clients added-value industry specific insights and reporting.

You’ll make an impact by :
  • Managing a portfolio of Real Estate clients across various asset classes, overseeing the delivery of compliance services, building strong client relationships, and actively driving new service opportunities.
  • Promoting the Outsourcing business through networking and active promotional activities within and outside the firm
  • Overseeing and reviewing production of monthly and quarterly management information, VAT returns, CIS returns and other deliverables as required by each client
  • Managing and overseeing the team, ensuring that all outsourced accounting functions are completed accurately
  • Assisting and supporting the team in providing quality accounting services to clients
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships by understanding our client businesses, including their goals, challenges, and opportunities and providing added value with real estate insights and analysis on their management reporting
What we are looking for :

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience must include :

  • Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA with 5+ years post-qualified experience
  • Real Estate experience essential including a strong understanding of fund structures and experience in both commercial and residential real estate
  • Experience in presenting monthly financial reports and leading client meetings with senior management teams
  • Strong technical skills, including experience in IFRS reporting, consolidations and completion accounts
  • Experience of managing and developing team members through coaching, training, and mentoring to enhance their skills and facilitate their professional growth
