Accountant [Foreign National Candidates Wanted]

Our client is looking for a Full-time Accountant to join their team at their office in Bolton. The role is busy and varied, working for a reputable owner-managed business.

Flexible working hours: approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Foreign National Candidates preferred by Client.

Client willing to sponsor the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities of the Full-Time Accounts Role
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable and managing supplier invoices using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other cloud-based accounting software, depending on client requirements.
  • Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and petty cash.
  • Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing journals, accruals, and pre-payments.
  • Reconciling debtors and creditors.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Providing support to the Payroll department.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the office by providing administrative support to management, such as answering phones and other administrative tasks.
Successful Candidate for the Accountant Position
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role is required.
  • Ability to manage and organize a portfolio of clients.
  • High attention to detail and a flexible approach.
  • Experience managing supplier invoices and payments.
  • Strong skills with Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Hardworking individual who enjoys a standalone accounts role within a small office or team.
