Job Title: Accountant

Salary: £47,600 - £58,000 depending on achievements

Contract: Full time & permanent

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

This role will support Caterpillar Inc’s Building Construction Products (BCP) division with global transportation and inventory reporting and analysis. It involves timely and accurate financial record-keeping and reporting, as directed by management.

What You Will Do
  • Reporting, forecasting, and analysis of both inbound and outbound managed freight, transportation, and BCP global inventory.
  • Presentation and explanation of results to management.
  • Creating and utilising automated tools for updating, analysing, and reporting financial results.
  • Partnering with technical accounting and the Distribution Services Division to ensure BCP inventory is appropriately classified on the balance sheet.
What You Will Need
  • Education: A degree or equivalent level proven skills in data analytics and visualisation, combined with effective business partnering skills, will also be considered.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to determine root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly convey and interpret ideas and information.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to recognise and resolve operational or process issues.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting methods and ability to prepare financial reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial data.
  • Financial Reporting: Ability to create and maintain accurate financial reports.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
  • Accounting certification is not required but would be a preferred.
