Account Director – Retail Sector

We are recruiting for a dynamic and ambitious Account Director to join a leading consultancy that specialises in cutting-edge data, AI, and technology solutions. This role is critical to driving growth within the retail sector, managing some existing accounts and focusing on new business acquisition.

Position: Account Director – Retail Sector
Location: London (3 days a week access to office)
Salary: £80,000-£120,000 basic + uncapped OTE and benefits

Role and Responsibilities:

New Business Development: Proactively identify and engage with new clients in the retail sector, showcasing innovative solutions to address their challenges and drive business transformation.

Strategic Account Management: Cultivate and grow relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities for additional value and services.

Consultative Selling: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, leveraging your expertise to recommend tailored data, AI and Transformation Consulting.

Market Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends and market dynamics, positioning solutions as a catalyst for retail innovation.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align client needs with the company’s capabilities, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Key Qualifications:

️ Industry Expertise: Proven experience in selling solutions within the retail sector, with a strong understanding of retail-specific challenges and opportunities.

Sales Acumen: A track record of achieving and exceeding new business targets in a consultative sales environment - ideally you will have sold 'consulting-led' services

Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
