Account Director, Measurement Strategy & Performance Analytics

Overview

Porter Novelli is seeking a strategic and delivery-focused (Senior) Account Director to lead measurement strategy and performance analytics across a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for designing and executing integrated measurement frameworks that assess communications impact, inform activation, and drive excellence across brand and corporate PR, digital and social campaigns, plus crisis communications.

This is a client-facing role ideal for a leader who excels at turning complex data into simple, actionable implications – and who knows how to embed measurement into every stage of the communications lifecycle.

You will report to the Director of Intelligence within the agency’s central Innovation Engine, working with a diverse range of clients including household consumer brands, B2B companies and Big Pharma clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own measurement strategy & performance analytics as a capability area
  • Develop and implement measurement frameworks and KPIs through hands-on execution, ensuring alignment with client goals across campaigns, channels, and audiences.
  • Work with Client Experience and Strategy teams to bring performance analytics into campaign planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Leverage a mix of methodologies – including media, website, social media and search analytics – to generate meaningful impact narratives.
  • Lead client engagement and delivery excellence
  • Manage measurement strategy and performance analytics for multiple accounts, working closely with teams, partners, and clients to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Ensure deliverables are accurate, visually engaging, and strategically actionable.
  • Partner with project management and finance teams to forecast resourcing needs and align delivery with financial targets.
  • Actively challenge and evolve what we measure to ensure relevance, clarity, and value for senior stakeholders.
  • Support agency growth
  • Build partnerships with platforms and vendors to enhance our offering and capability.
  • Support the new business process, including contributing to pitches, proposal writing, and presenting measurement approaches to prospective clients.
  • Represent Porter Novelli in internal forums (e.g., Omnicom working groups).
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience in communications, digital or performance analytics, with a focus on measurement and impact evaluation.
  • Understanding of PR, media, and digital performance metrics (including reach, engagement, CTRs, sentiment, share of voice, brand health, search interest, sales attribution, etc.).
  • Experience using media, social media and search analytics tools like Talkwalker, LexisNexis, Keyword.io, GLIMPSE, Clickstream.
  • Digital analytics implementation and insights experience | Google Analytics or Adobe Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience creating surveys for campaign evaluation an advantage.
  • High proficiency with Excel, PPT and good working knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Early adopter and experimenter with AI platforms, fluent at writing prompts and excited about how AI and agentic assistance can optimize how measurement and performance analytics are delivered to clients.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn data into clear insights that drive action and improve results.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing team members.
  • Comfort working in matrixed, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
