Our Financial Operations team has a vacancy for an AP Clerk (HOP).

Role Description

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will be managing all AP Processes for our area of business, Deliveroo Hop.

Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate transaction processing and query handling (in relation to invoices and credit notes).
  • Inbox management.
  • Supplier account management including statement reconciliations.
  • Providing quality customer service.
  • Scoping AP Processes for new vendors and new markets.
  • Creating efficiencies within the AP processes.
  • Ad‑hoc duties as required.
Requirements

An understanding of the AP process. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, transactional environment under pressure and to tight deadlines. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude. Good communication skills, both written and verbally. Good organisation skills.

Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Strong in all MS Office products including Word and Excel and Experience in Netsuite.
Training

Foundation covers the basic principles of accountancy, and is your starting point if you’ve never studied accountancy before. You’ll learn the basic principles of accountancy, such as double‑entry bookkeeping, costing and preparing financial statements, as well as how to use accountancy software.

This level is ideal if you’re new to accountancy and finance, have previously worked in an accounts department, or are looking to change your career into Accountancy.

To pass this level, you'll be examined on five units. All assessments are computer‑based exams (CBE). The area you will cover include:

  • Bookkeeping transactions.
  • Bookkeeping controls.
  • Elements of costing.
  • Using accounting software.
  • Foundation Synoptic Assessment.

Training will be provided either via classroom or remote sessions. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of their time towards it.

Qualifications required

GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.

Skills required

Excel skills at intermediate level. (desirable)

Duration: 15 months.
