Job description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate A&E Nurse to join our team through HCRG Staffing Connect. In this fast-paced environment, you will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, delivering safe, responsive, and evidence-based treatment. You will play a key role in assessing, prioritising, and managing patients with a wide range of urgent and acute conditions.

This role is primarily based at University Hospitals Sussex; however, we also have openings for A&E nurses across multiple locations in the South East.

HCRG Staffing Connect is the app-enabled nursing agency, backed by HCRG Staffing. Our team of consultants and the app work together to enable nurses like you to take control of your work. Book shifts yourself, via a consultant or use Auto-book to let us know when you want to work. The app will automatically pick up the shifts you want as soon as they’re published.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients across a wide range of acute and urgent clinical needs.
  • Triage, assess, and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely in line with emergency care guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, advanced practitioners, paramedics, and allied health professionals.
  • Provide clear communication, support, and reassurance to patients and their families during stressful or distressing situations.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Nursing degree or equivalent qualification in Adult Nursing.
  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience, ideally within an Emergency Department or other acute setting.
  • Experience managing patients with a wide range of urgent, complex, or life‑threatening conditions.
  • Confidence working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
