Pulse is currently seeking a determined band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join our client’s NHS team based in Bournemouth, Dorset. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and is initially offered for a 3-month period.

Role Details

This post involves working within a service that provides inpatient care for young people whose needs are best met in a hospital setting. There is an opportunity to be funded for training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and/or EMDR.

The team includes a Highly Specialist Family Therapist / Service Lead, Consultant Pediatrician, Specialist Dietitian, and Physical Activity Specialist. They provide care for children affected by excess weight in the community, adopting a systemic biopsychosocial approach.

Requirements
  • Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Have proven experience in a CAMHS role
  • Be analytical with good attention to detail
  • Have supervision experience
