Overview

Job Title: 7.5T Driver
Location: Tilbury, RM16 3HU
Pay Rate: 15.00 per hour OT paid at 22.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
Shift Times: Must be flexible to work between 08:00 - 20:00.

This is a temporary assignment with the potential to lead into a permanent position.

Manpower are looking for a 7.5T Delivery Driver to work for our client based in Tilbury. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company, working in brand-new facilities with top-of-the-line equipment, while making a positive environmental impact.

Job Overview

As a 7.5T Delivery Driver, you will be the "face of the business," delivering fresh cooking oil to the catering industry and collecting used oil to return to the Microsite. Relationship building with customers is key, as our client aims to ensure every order is fulfilled in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. You\'ll also have the opportunity to assist in generating new business during your rounds.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver fresh oil to catering/restaurant customers and collect used cooking oil.
  • Load/unload safely and handle payments accurately.
  • Complete delivery paperwork (e.g., Waste Transfer Notes) and report missed/failed deliveries.
  • Maintain good customer relationships and assist with sales when needed.
  • Communicate with dispatch/customers about delivery times or issues.
  • Carry out vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and report faults.
  • Drive safely, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Driving Licence: Valid UK licence with no more than 3 points.
  • Driving Experience: Proven 7.5T and van delivery experience with good knowledge of UK road laws.
  • Communication: Clear and professional with transport teams, customers, and colleagues.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Customer Service: Friendly, positive, and engaging with customers.
  • Sales (Desirable): B2B sales experience and target achievement preferred.
  • Safety: Strong awareness of vehicle and workplace safety.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to handle unexpected situations effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate with documents and procedures.
