Overview

2D CAD DESIGNER – PERMANENT

Salary up to £50k. On site - no remote working.

Our client is a growing and expanding business with a solid reputation, an expanding order book and a very bright future. They require a well‑versed and experienced 2D CAD Designer to join and complement the existing team.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D CAD drawings for smoke control and mechanical ventilation
• Develop layout plans, schematics and fabrication drawings for design submissions, client reviews and site installations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects and contractors
• Ensure designs comply fully with UK Building regs, BS EN 12101 and all relevant standards
• Participate in design reviews and support the development of proposals from concept to finish

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD
• Experience in construction; background in smoke control or HVAC is a huge bonus
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations related to fire and safety
