We are looking for a motivated candidate for the post of Deputy Generic Recruitment Nursing Manager. This role would suit either someone with a background in recruitment/HR or a registered nurse. The post is an office-based role at Comely Bank Centre, Edinburgh. The post is 22 hours per week to be worked over 3 days to meet service requirements. During students’ recruitment and specific recruitment campaigns the post holder will be required to travel to locations across Scotland as well as different sites across NHS Lothian.

The Deputy Generic Recruitment Manager is accountable for managing the operational delivery and performance of the Generic Recruitment Service ensuring high standards are maintained and a high quality, cost effective and efficient team provide a comprehensive recruitment service from all Nursing and Midwifery service areas across NHS Lothian.

The role involves Supporting the Generic Recruitment Nursing Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating the Generic Recruitment Service Strategy. The role includes providing specialist support, advise to clinical managers on recruitment including equality issues in line with the once for Scotland workforce policies.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for managing the operational delivery and performance of the Generic Recruitment Service across Nursing and Midwifery service areas.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained and the team provides a comprehensive, high quality, cost effective and efficient recruitment service.
  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of the Generic Recruitment Service Strategy.
  • Provide specialist support and advice to clinical managers on recruitment, including equality issues in line with workforce policies.
  • Travel to locations across Scotland and across NHS Lothian during student recruitment and specific campaigns.
  • Office-based duties at Comely Bank Centre, Edinburgh with 22 hours per week over 3 days.
