A leading beauty company in London is looking for an individual to spearhead business development and sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy and partnership identification, with proven skills in relationship building and market analysis. Strategy & Opportunity Identification:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company sales goals and market expansion objectives.
- Identify amenity & corporate partnerships by researching and analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Prospect for new clients through networking, attending industry events, developing new relationships and existing relationships.
- Evaluate potential partnerships, licensing agreements, and strategic alliances to enhance market presence and brand exposure.
Relationship Building & Sales:
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target accounts.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments and discovery meetings with potential clients to understand their challenges and requirements.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches that clearly articulate the value proposition of Aesop’s offerings.
- Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing and initial account handover.
- Partner with Marketing to develop channel budget strategy and deliverables.
- Partner with Retail Director to develop channel growth strategy, to support local brand awareness.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on market developments, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Track and analyse sales performance, forecast future sales, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Provide feedback from the market to internal teams (e.g. product development, marketing, global omnichannel) to inform strategy and innovation.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with The Aesop DMI, Global Amenities & Business Development, and marketing to develop targeted campaigns and collateral that support business development efforts.
- Work with legal, finance, and product teams to ensure seamless contract negotiation and successful client onboarding.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, always representing Aesop and L\'Oréal professionally.
