Description

UK&I, the Legal & Claims Division of the Davies Group, are looking to hire a Finance Manager who will be responsible for working capital & balance sheet analysis and reporting across UK&I.

This new role will be vital to delivering quality analysis and supporting the function to improve how it manages working capital. The individual will be a self-starter and able to draw on best practice from previous roles to support UK&I improve its working capital reporting.

This is an exciting role which will give the individual the opportunity to gain a full understanding of the organisation and to deliver the key decision makers with the financial information to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of working capital analysis and reporting across the UK&I division. This will include:

  • Reviewing and assessing working capital management and suggesting & implementing improvements.
  • Reviewing balance sheets
  • Bad Debt provisioning
  • WIP provisioning
  • Acquisition accounting for balance sheet (working with Group Finance)
  • Define working capital and balance sheet KPI reporting
  • Assisting in cashflow forecasting
  • Contribute to budgeting process

Working hours
35 hours per week

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
Will be required to attend the Bolton Office 1 - 2 times a week, (more frequently during induction), and travel to London on occasion

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong academic background and the holder of a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA. At least 5 years post qualification experience.

Demonstrable experience of:

  • Being responsible for working capital and balance sheet reporting and analysis
  • Improving processes in relation to working capital and balance sheet
  • Working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and 3E (Elite)
  • Strong understanding of cash flow management, and working capital optimisation
  • Skilled in process improvement and systems automation
