Job description

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who is highly motivated, innovative and who is interested in providing 1-1 support to pupils with additional needs.

The role is to support children with SEND, usually working on a 1-1 basis, assisting the children is accessing the learning that is set by the class teacher.

The role is based in a school in the Wisbech area of Cambridgeshire. It is a warm and supportive school where all staff are committed to the inclusion of all pupils.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to inclusion
  • Enjoy making learning a positive experience
  • Have some experience of adapting the curriculum and creating bespoke activities to meet an individual s needs
  • Be highly organised and have excellent time management skills
  • Be able to work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo but have the ability to use their own initiative to support individuals
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills that motivate and inspire children
  • Be highly motivated, have a positive attitude and be prepared to develop relationships with children who need consistency and clear boundaries from someone who really cares
  • Have some experience in supporting children with medical conditions within an educational setting

Salary

£89 to £100 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Previous experience within Primary Schools or similar setting
  • Experience with 1:1
