In-Person Tutor - Supporting a Year 11 Students with ASD | Farnham

15 hours per week | Monday to Friday mornings | Focus on English, Maths & Science

Do you have the patience, empathy, and creativity to help a young learner with ASD re-engage with education?

We are looking for a dedicated In-Person Tutor to provide 1:1 support for a Year 11 student in the GU9 area. The student has Autism and some SEMH needs and is currently learning outside of mainstream school. They are enthusiastic about science, with a particular passion for palaeontology, and would thrive with a tutor who can share and nurture this interest while also guiding them in English and Maths.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference-supporting a student to build confidence, prepare for their future, and stay motivated through personalised learning.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Delivering tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science (Monday to Friday mornings, 15 hours per week).
  • Supporting academic progress while also focusing on engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Adapting teaching methods to suit the student\'s learning style and interests.
  • Using the student\'s love of science and palaeontology as a way to spark curiosity and build cross-subject skills.
  • Liaising with parents/carers, schools, and agencies to track progress.
  • Keeping clear records of achievements and areas for development.
