A custom kitchen cabinet manufacturer is seeking a Truck Driver / Delivery Team Lead. You will be responsible for delivering cabinetry, maintaining quality standards, and assisting in production. Ideal candidates have experience driving a 5 ton truck and must be conscientious and detail-oriented. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of $42,000/year.

Responsabilités

• Load and check items against shipping slip for delivery.
• Drive and deliver cabinets to client locations.
• Communicate with clients and obtain signatures.
• Assist with various production stages of custom cabinetry.
• Maintain and clean work area.

Truck Driver / Delivery Team Lead - Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturing (Location: Ottawa)

Employer: MR Kitchens – A custom kitchen cabinet manufacturer with 3 showrooms in the Ottawa region in business since 1986. Shop is located in Vars - 15 minutes east of Ottawa - 20 minutes south of Orleans.

Job Description

Work off a shipping slip to ensure all items for specific jobs are loaded onto the truck and that jobs are loaded in the order of delivery

Inspect all cabinets to ensure all components are fully functional and that they meet quality control standards

Wrap & load cabinets onto a truck correctly to avoid damage

Drive 5 ton truck in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario valley to deliver cabinetry

Deliver cabinets to client's homes in an orderly fashion ensuring no damage to the client's property

Communicate with client's as required and obtain signature of shipping slip

Ensure that deliveries are complete and that no items are missed

Assist with various stages of the production of custom cabinet millwork as required

Maintain & clean work area

Qualities Needed

• Able to drive a 5 ton truck in tight streets and back into client's driveways
• Conscientious in ensuring no damage occurs to the MR Kitchens delivery truck
• Thoroughness - ensuring that absolutely nothing is missed on deliveries
• High attention to detail & high quality standard
• Professional approach to clients in representing MR Kitchens.
• Respectful of client's property in doing everything possible to avoid the risk of damage to their property & cabinetry during delivery
• Team player -going above and beyond to help teammates and assist where needed
• Able to thrive under pressure, prioritize & re-evaluate priorities on the go
• Physically fit and able to lift objects up to 50lbs

Required Knowledge & Expertise

• Have a valid G or higher class driver's license
• Provide a clean CVOR driver's abstract
• 2-5 years experience driving a 5 ton truck without accidents
• Kitchen cabinetry or carpentry background
