A leading transport solutions company in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine seeks a Mechanical Engineer to manage train architecture and lead a team of designers. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical solutions and ensuring compliance with project standards. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience in mechanical integration, preferably in the railways sector. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality mechanical solutions for rolling stock projects and tenders, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery commitments. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams across the business (including manufacturing, maintenance, and R&D), contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining trainset architecture and robust mechanical designs within train environments, but also lead the mechanical domain deliverables with a team of mechanical designers (9‑12 people).

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical integration within an engineering department, preferably in the railways sector
General knowledge of project management (quality, cost, delay)
Development process and governance knowledge
Strong knowledge of detailled train mechanical architecture including knowledges on : interior design, mechanical integration, general studies and related technologies (e.g., aluminum profiles, composites, sheet metal)
Ability to share vision and strategy with all development stakeholders (other domains inside and outside engineering)
Proficiency in Catia V5 / V6 for modeling and PDM solutions for managing digital mock‑ups (e.g., DMA, Enovia, Teamcenter, PLM4A)
Knowledge of design to cost and design to manufacturability
Expertise in stack‑up analysis and drawing rules
Ability to independently design 3D mechanical concepts from scratch
Solid technical background in mechanically welded structures and sheet metal
A structured and organized hands‑on approach
Sense of urgence / Priority
Time management and reporting skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer satisfaction oriented)

Multidisciplinary team management and animation
Professional‑level English (both written and spoken) to lead technical meetings and documentation
