XMSTART is looking to add an experienced and strategic full-time Systems Engineer to our team, in Chantilly, VA. This position is 100% Onsite. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise (SME) to support the planning, analysis, testing, and execution of Business Continuity Planning, continuity of operations (COOP) and resiliency capabilities.

Security Clearance Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field and nine (9) years or more experience; Master’s Degree in STEM or relevant field and seven (7) years or more experience
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive COOP plans and procedures to ensure continuity of business functions and organizational command and control in the event of disruptions
  • Conduct regular COOP drills and exercises to validate the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement
  • Document and track COOP plan updates and modifications
  • Lead development and annual update of resiliency concept of operations, communicate resiliency efforts across mission enterprise
  • Manage and maintain crisis action program and contingency locations
  • Collaborate with senior government leadership, SETA team members for COOP and resiliency planning and exercises
Qualifications
  • Experience in Business Continuity Planning, COOP and resiliency planning and analysis and associated documentation
  • Experience with systems engineering and project management
  • Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization’s needs.
  • Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; readily defines solutions for broad, abstract topics.
  • Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment; comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers.
  • Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders, consensus builder.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools, Agile development, cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence
