Description du poste

At Datadog, we're building a unified AI Platform that powers ML and LLM applications across our product suite. The Feature Stores team is central to this mission, developing infrastructure that enables the creation, storage, and serving of embeddings and features at scale for both offline training and online inference.

Our feature store handles complex data pipelines, embedding storage, and cross-team feature discoverability across multiple cloud regions. It integrates deeply with our training, experimentation, and serving systems, enabling traceability, high availability, and low-latency access to production-ready features.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to expand and optimize our feature infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of ML data pipelines, distributed systems, and platform engineering, building tools and systems that scale with Datadog's AI growth.

At Datadog, we value our office culture—the relationships it builds, the creativity it fosters, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do :

  • Build and maintain distributed data pipelines that power feature engineering for training and inference.
  • Ensure reliability and scalability of data stores for both classic features and embeddings.
  • Contribute to the design of feature cataloging, lineage, and access control systems across teams and regions.
  • Integrate embedding stores and real-time serving backends to support low-latency inference use cases.
  • Build internal tooling to improve feature discoverability, observability, and governance.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers, backend developers, and infra teams to ensure end-to-end feature platform cohesion.

Who You Are :

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a software, data, or ML engineer working on distributed systems or ML data pipelines.
  • You've built and maintained data systems using technologies like Kafka and Spark.
  • You have experience with Postgres and other database technologies.
  • You are fluent in Python, Go, Scala, or Java and have experience working in cloud-native environments.
  • You have a strong understanding of data modeling and storage formats optimized for machine learning.
  • Bonus: Experience with feature stores or embedding databases.

We value people from all walks of life. Not everyone will meet all the qualifications on day one, and that's okay. If you're passionate about technology and eager to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth :

  • Stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) for new hires.
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career growth opportunities.
  • Intra-departmental mentor and buddy programs for networking.
  • An inclusive company culture, including participation in our Community Guilds (employee resource groups).
  • Access to Inclusion Talks and internal panel discussions.
  • Free global mental health benefits for employees and dependents aged 6 and above.

Benefits may vary based on employment country and terms.
