A leading tech consultancy is looking for a Senior Test Engineer in Strasbourg. This role demands strong analytical skills and experience in testing institutional software. Senior Test Engineer

Location: Strasbourg (50% on-site / 50% off-site)

Day Rate: 400€ on-site / 250€ off-site

Contract Type: Freelance

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12 months, with potential extensions

EU Nationality required

Role Overview

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for testing institutional software systems, ensuring high-quality delivery, and improving testing processes and tools. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate within a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manual and automated testing activities for institutional software.
  • Review project and test deliverables in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Propose and implement improvements to testing processes, including tooling enhancements.
  • Analyse test results and provide clear, accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with development and project teams.
  • Produce high-quality documentation related to testing activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in automated and manual software testing.
  • Proven experience with testing tools such as Qtest, TOSCA, Selenium, and Xray.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and tools including:
  • JMeter (performance testing)
  • SonarQube (code quality review)
  • Splunk (test execution monitoring)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., TOSCA), test management tools (Qtest, QC), and requirements / defect management (Jira).
  • Strong knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and strong quality focus.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams in an international / multicultural environment.
