Description

Speech and Language Therapists have specialist skills that are integral to the respiratory multidisciplinary team. The MMUH SLT Team is expanding in Respiratory Medicine, offering scope to design the service from an inpatient and outpatient perspective.

The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will lead and deliver the medical respiratory SLT service in collaboration with Senior and Staff Grade SLTs. In addition to clinical responsibilities, they will develop the SLT service for patients under the Respiratory and Medical Specialist Teams and the National Isolation Unit as the service demands, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient-centred care.

They will contribute to the overall operation and development of the communication and swallowing service within the hospital in collaboration with the Speech and Language Therapy Manager and other SLTs within the department.
