A leading solar PV company is seeking a Sales Manager to design and execute sales strategies across various regions, including France. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the solar industry and a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas. Responsibilities include managing the sales cycle, building relationships with key stakeholders, and providing quotes. This position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to work remotely, fluently speaking English and possibly other languages.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the solar PV industry, preferably with mounting or balance-of-system products.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding annual sales quotas and closing multi-year supply agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Sales Manager Role Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a country-specific sales plan that aligns with regional revenue targets and channel strategy.
  • Generate, qualify, and continuously expand a robust sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and partner referrals.
  • Own the full sales cycle: first contact, technical-commercial proposal, negotiation, PO pursuit, and contract signature.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with EPCs, installers, distributors, wholesalers, and key decision-makers across procurement, engineering, and finance.
  • Coordinate internally with product management, engineering, supply-chain, and after-sales teams to deliver competitive quotations and on-time deliveries.
  • Provide accurate rolling forecasts and CRM updates; use data to refine pricing, packaging, and go-to-market tactics.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, roadshows, and customer events; deliver technical presentations when required.
  • Track market trends, competitor moves, regulatory shifts, and customer feedback; translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the solar PV industry, preferably with mounting or balance-of-system products.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding annual sales quotas and closing multi-year supply agreements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Established network of solar installers, EPCs, or distributors in the target territory is a strong plus.
  • Solid grasp of international procurement processes, Incoterms, and project finance basics.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills; comfortable selling on both technical and economic value.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and able to work remotely across time zones with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to the territory are a plus.
