This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer (Remote). The Packaging Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that all packaging materials meet required performance, quality, and regulatory standards across the EURASIA region. This position emphasizes the improvement of existing packaging solutions, aiming for enhanced cost efficiency, sustainability, and manufacturability. The successful candidate will lead packaging validation and troubleshooting activities while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Accurate packaging documentation and specifications will also be a key responsibility, ensuring compliance and effectiveness in all packaging processes.

Accountabilities

• Lead packaging performance evaluations to ensure materials meet all functional, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement packaging improvements that optimize cost, reduce manufacturing complexity, and support sustainability objectives.
• Investigate and resolve packaging material failures, ensuring timely corrective action in line with quality procedures.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales to manage packaging materials effectively.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications and documentation for quality control and traceability.
• Evaluate and qualify packaging suppliers to ensure compliance with standards and performance criteria.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Packaging Science,­ter related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an FMCG or chemical packaging environment.
• Proven record of successful packaging material implementation and optimization.
• Experience with hazardous materials and related transport regulations preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, particularly for hazardous chemicals and FMCG products.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for FMCG and hazardous goods_arrow packaging within the EURASIA region.
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards (ASTM, ISTA, UN performance tests).
• Knowledge of life cycle analysis (LCA) or sustainable packaging practices is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Effective collaboration skills across functions and regions.
