Senior Legal Counsel (m / f / d) About the Job

As part of Allianz Technology SAS's Legal Department, you advise our business in France and Benelux in all legal areas (except tax law). You provide business-oriented legal advice to safeguard the interests of the company, ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and support and guide senior management on legal matters.

You will represent Allianz Technology SAS towards external partners and regulatory authorities and will steer external law firms where needed. You will be integrated into the Legal Region 2 team of Allianz Technology, which consists of lawyers across several jurisdictions.

What you do

• Provide business-oriented legal advice to all levels of management and staff.
• Monitor, research, and address legal issues within the company/branch.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and corporate documents (rules of procedure), corporate resolutions, and legal documentation, including corporate secretarial tasks where required.
• Ensure implementation of internal policies.
• Raise awareness of, and develop risk mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with the global Allianz Technology Legal community to develop and enhance practices and procedures.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams as required, aligned with business needs and regulatory environment.
• Conduct trainings.
• Follow legislative processes nationally and internationally, and help implement necessary steps at Allianz Technology SAS.
• Oversee and steer external legal counsel when applicable.

What you bring

• Strong academic background and admitted to practice law in France (preferably also in the Netherlands).
• 5+ years' experience as an in-house attorney in an international company or as an attorney in an international law firm, focusing on commercial law; knowledge of IT law and supervisory law in insurance companies is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the business environment and eagerness to work internationally.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, well-organized, and attentive to details.
• Strong negotiation skills with an analytical approach.
• Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted advisor to local management.
• Basic knowledge of AI technology, principles, and practical applications.
