Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to spearhead the development of our construction machinery control product line in France. This role focuses on identifying and capturing opportunities in an emerging market, building strategic partnerships in precision control solutions for construction equipment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a startup-like environment within a global organization, combining creativity with rigorous execution to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Penetration
- Identify and prioritize high-potential clients in the French construction machinery sector, including OEMs, dealers, and end-users.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for untapped market segments, leveraging company’s technical expertise and competitive product portfolio.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, regulatory requirements, and competitor landscapes.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers in construction companies, equipment manufacturers, and distributors.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized solutions and ensure customer success post-sale.
Strategic Partnerships
- Forge alliances with local distributors, system integrators, and industry associations to amplify brand visibility and accelerate market entry.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to position the company as an innovation leader.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and provide regular updates to regional leadership.
- Analyze market feedback to refine product positioning and contribute to long-term strategy development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A technical background (e.g., GNSS, automation, construction technology) is a strong advantage.
- Experience: 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in the construction machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial automation sectors.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the French construction industry, including trends in machine control or smart infrastructure.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of opening new accounts and driving revenue growth in competitive markets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Ability to travel frequently across France and occasionally within Europe.
- Mindset: Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
