Quality Lead

Location: Offshore

Rotation: 4 weeks on/4 weeks off

Weare seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join our team. The successfulcandidate will lead the administration of the quality program for projects andmaintenance for our deepwater operation. This role requires a strongunderstanding of quality management systems, equipment and maintenancefabrication, welding inspection, and the ability to lead cross-functional teamsto ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and implement the company quality program.
  • Collect data and feedback (i.e., verification and measurement) for updates to the leadership team on the status of the quality system and to support program improvements.
  • Implement and drive improvements to the quality program for projects and maintenance activities (routine and planned shutdowns) to ensure compliance with regulatory, company standards, and industry standards.
  • Assist projects in developing their quality plan.
  • Perform surveillance of ongoing work at local fabricator shops; generate an inspection report for each visit and issue to the job owner.
  • Conduct ad hoc in-person surveillance checks on in-progress field work, warehouse materials management, and in-country vendors.
  • Conduct audits of key contractors. Assess robustness of their quality management system and adherence to their processes.
  • Audit the materials management process for projects and maintenance activities.
  • Audit the documentation and traceability of materials and quality records. Identify systemic issues and drive resolution.
  • Audit projects’ compliance to their Project Quality Plan.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates to leadership on audit findings and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, maintenance, engineering, and other stakeholders to identify and address quality issues.
  • Review contractor NCRs and ensure the logs are maintained. Collect NCR data toidentify systemic/emerging quality issues and assist in driving mitigationmeasures.
Candidate profile
  • Active certification for welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP 3.1).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in quality and materials management in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API, DNV, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in quality management roles (e.g., quality lead, quality manager) or significant involvement in quality programs for oil and gas projects or facilities.
  • Experience with performing audits of contractors, vendors, and sub-suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools. SAP and Meridium experience is desired.
